It looks like everyone is having a great time. From the paneling, it seems to be at the Les Rhodes Home in La Selva Beach, probably soon after moving in, in 1960.

Barbara Rhodes, Unsung hero of the San Jose Water Companies Computer Programming department, threw out the first pitch and the May 11, 2012 baseball game between the San Jose Giants and the Visalia Rawhide. Giants won, 5 to 2.
Barbara made sure to practice before the big event.

Here is about 5 minutes of photos of Les that I have in my collection. I used Picasa to automatically generate this movie. Picasa identified and lined up the faces. I did very little ordering to the pictures, and there are a few duplicates, but I think you’ll enjoy it. The music is DeBussy’s Clair de Lune, one of Les’ favorites and one he liked to try and play on the piano.

OK, I have to brag a little here. Here is a picture of me and my axe, from 1979. There’s a hole in the frame where you can chain it down, or use it to handcuff it to yourself when you carry it around.
I just finished painting these walls. The hardwood floors are refinished and look wonderful.
